UNFAMILIAR RECORDS, home of JAPANDROIDS (Pitchfork Best New Music) and Paper Cranes, announce the release of 'OLD WORLD LIES', the debut EP from BRASSTRONAUT. The Vancouver four piece featuring Edo Van Breemen of The Clips have been receiving quite a lot of attention up North where the EP is now available on Unfamiliar, 'Old World Lies' will be released in the States this June. The hot young group recently wrapped a handful of East Coast US shows, their first ever, leaving a wake of brand new Stateside fans wanting more! Brasstronaut looks forward to announcing their first tour down the West Coast this summer in support of the EP's release. You will, undoubtedly, be hearing much, much more about this uniquely amazing band!
The gorgeous video from 'Old World Lies' standout track "Requiem For A Scene" was picked up and featured on the Mercury Prize's website and also made The Daily Swarm 'Must-See Videos of the Week' who called it "Totally Poetic".
