Watch new David Karsten Daniels & Fight The Big Bull video at FADER

Head over to the FADER website to check out an exclusive premiere of the second video from David Karsten Daniels & Fight The Big Bull's new album, 'I Mean To Live Here Still'. The video for "Smoke" was directed by Justin Hamilton, and features daydreams of young love amidst gorgeously shot, sun-washed foliage, contrasted with dark, nervous everyday scenes.

'I Mean To Live Here Still' is currently being streamed in its entirety at the NPR Music website as part of their 'Exclusive First Listen' series; check out the stream HERE.

The album, which NPR calls "exuberant, messy, and glorious," will be released on FatCat Records 21 June in UK/Europe and 22 June in the USA.

The full ensemble will be playing three US special record release shows in Richmond, Chapel Hill, and NYC:
8 Jul - The Camel, Richmond VA
9 Jul - Local 506, Chapel Hill NC
12 Jul - Le Poisson Rouge, New York NY

MATT AND KIM ANNOUNCE NORTH AMERICAN HEADLINING TOUR

MATT AND KIM ANNOUNCE NORTH AMERICAN HEADLINING TOUR FEATURING A PERFORMANCE AT AUSTIN CITY LIMITS

Coast-to-Coast Trek Follows Band’s Headlining Date at Siren Music Festival, July 17th in NYC and an Appearance at Lollapalooza August 6th in Chicago, IL.

New York, NY (June 17, 2010) - Matt & Kim announce their coast-to-coast North American Fall tour kicking off on September 15th at the Westcott Theater in Syracuse, NY. The three month tour will find the band headlining well-known venues including The Fillmore in San Francisco, The Henry Fonda Theater in Los Angeles, Starlite Ballroom in Philadelphia, House of Blues in Boston and a stop at Austin City Limits on October 9th, before coming to a close on November 6th at Pearl Street in Northampton, MA. Prior to their Fall tour, Matt and Kim will also headline the annual Siren Music Festival on July 17th in NYC and appear at Lollapalooza on August 6th in Chicago, IL this summer.

2010 has already been a busy year for Matt and Kim, who have been hard at work putting the final touches on their third full length album, set for release this fall on FADER Label. The duo entered the studio with producer Ben Allen in Atlanta, GA this past February and have not slowed down since. Following their performance before a packed-to-capacity crowd on the Mojave Stage at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA in April, they delivered yet another wildly successful set at The Bamboozle festival in East Rutherford, NJ before hopping the pond to play a top slot at the international Primavera Music Festival in Spain. Look for Matt and Kim this summer at one of several international festivals including Fuji Fest and Pukkelpop.

Head over to http://www.mattandkimmusic.com/ or www.myspace.com/mattandkim to get the most up-to-date tour information and new announcements for 2010. Tickets go on sale June 23rd.

NEW DAVID KARSTEN DANIELS RECORD STREAMING AT NPR

Head over to NPR to get an early listen to the upcoming release from David Karsten Daniels and Fight The Big Bull as 'I Mean to Live Here Still' is streaming all week before its release on FatCat Records next Tuesday.

Featured today on First Listen, NPR says its "an exuberant, messy and glorious new album...You could approximate it as lush orchestral pop in the tradition of Van Dyke Parks or Randy Newman — if those folks had a house horn section with which to indulge their weirdest weirdnesses.

The whole thing buzzes with big ideas — these are Thoreau poems sung over a big band, after all — but they don't feel pretentious. The artistry is too high, and the grooves too interesting. I Mean to Live Here Still will stream HERE in its entirety until its release on June 22"

Next month, David and Fight The Big Bull will be showcasing songs from 'I Mean to Live Here Still' on a select three city east coast tour:

DAVID KARSTEN DANIELS and FIGHT THE BIG BULL

7/8 – Richmond, VA @ The Camel
7/9 – Chapel Hill, NC @ Local 506
