New York, NY (November 2, 2010) – Today, Matt & Kim release their highly anticipated third full-length effort, Sidewalks, via FADER Label. Critical accolades have already poured in from SPIN, Entertainment Weekly, Billboard, Marie Claire, New York Magazine and Pitchfork, among others. Next Monday, Nov. 8th, the band will once again appear on Last Call with Carson Daly, performing “Silver Tiles,” which was taped at their sold-out LA show at the Henry Fonda Theater last month. Sidewalks features 10 original tracks and was recorded in Atlanta, GA and New York City during the spring and summer of 2010. Its release follows the exclusive iTunes pre-sale, which began October 5th and saw the album soar immediately to Top 50 on the iTunes Top 200 chart and to Top 10 on iTunes Alternative chart. 2010 has already been a whirlwind year for Matt and Kim, who, after recording Sidewalks, went on to perform prime-time sets and headlining slots at major festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Siren, Virgin FreeFest, The Bamboozle and most recently, Austin City Limits. They are currently on a two-month headlining tour of North America, which kicked off this past September and finds Matt and Kim playing to sold-out crowds nightly in their biggest venues yet.
