In advance of the August release of 'INVINCIBLE CRIMINAL', the incomparable MARK MALLMAN set out on a handful of dates showcasing songs from the new album. At one sold out show, the prolific rocker's show was hailed as "Kaufmaneasque" by one reviewer. We can tell you there was keyboarding riding, life sized rats watching the Wizard of Oz, and an appearance by the Mallwolf. NYC funnyman JOHN ROBERTS will be performing two shows at Comix in NYC on July 9 , performances at 7:30 and 9:30. He will be joined by a special guest ( a fellow comedian) but we cannot yet announce who that is! By now, everyone around the world knows John Roberts through his hilarious videos and recent appearance on Jimmy Fallon. At these special one night performances, you can count on John's stand up to include his outrageous original characters!

KUMAIL NANJIANI brings his ECNY Award Winning One Man Show 'Unpronounceable' to iO West in LA on July 8.  Based on his upbringing in Pakistan and transition to Iowa where he attended Grinnell College, 'Unpronounceable' is a hilarious chronicle written and performed by one of today's top comedians and directed by Paul Provenza (director of The Aristocrats). Kumail also won the 2009 ECNY Award for Best Male Stand Up Comedian, was recently featured in New York Magazine's "Ten Funny People That Funny People Find Funny", on Jimmy Kimmel Live and in his recurring role as Homer, the suspected Greek terrorist on The Colbert Report.

On the heels of a sweeping tour of Australia, the unbelievable REGGIE WATTS is currently making his way across Europe where he is touring with Regina Spektor and he has lined up a great run in London near the end of the month. The Soho Theater will host the groundbreaking comedic freestyle beatboxing genius July 27 - August 8 for 10pm performances nightly. Absolutely not to be missed!

Next week Brasstronaut will be bringing their captivating show to Seattle, Portland and Kennewick and later this month will be playing the Sled Island Festival in Calgary. Brooklyn's JOSH MEASE just wrapped up a sweet little East Coast minitour showcasing songs from his fully charming upcoming lp WILDERNESS due out this summer on FROG STAND RECORDS. This weekend EUGENE MIRMAN returns to his alma mater, Lexington High School, to deliver the commencement speech at this year's graduation. He will, I'm sure, cull from his vast wisdom just as he did in writing THE WILL TO WHATEVS, to set the Class of 2009 on their path to success. From special ed to graduation speaker, Eugene, you done good!

The brilliant TOM SHILLUE will be part of the 826NYC Benefit happening June 19 @ Bar Matchless in Brooklyn. The theme for the night is "vacation" so you can look forward to one of the city's finest and funniest storytellers presenting an original piece alongside a talented line up.

With countless credits between them, top notch comedians and longtime friends LIZZ WINSTEAD AND DANA GOULD will share the stage for four shows on June 26th and 27th at Comix in New York. These two comedy legends are amazing separately, but as they co-headline Comix for the first time ever it will make for shows to remember! Showtimes: 8pm & 10:30 both nights

THE WILL TO WHATEVS will be available next Tuesday, February 10 as the first book by comedian/actor EUGENE MIRMAN and it's 100% awesomely absurdly funny and we  highly recommend you get yourself a copy!!  If you live in NY, you can get The Will To Whatevs and have it signed by Eugene himself at the big Book Release Show at The Bell House on the 10th.  Elsewhere you can catch the very, very funny Mr Mirman along his book tour.  Also this month Eugene can be seen in the hysterical new Adult Swim series DELOCATED.  Amazing.

Hey everyone!  THE INTERIORS have new shows coming up !  Since the release of their blistering self-titled debut full length last year, The Interiors set out on multiple mini-tours gathering up fans all along the way.  The press hailed the trio's "easy ferocity" while back home 'The Interiors' was named The No. 1 Local Release by Chicagoist who cheered the band saying "It's been awhile since Chicago produced a great guitar rock band"!  First up, a hometown show this Thursday, February 5 at the Hideout followed by MORE SHOWS before they hit SXSW!  

MATT & KIM continue the awesomeness ON TOUR NOW in support of their brand new lp 'Grand'.  The Brooklyn duo kicked it all off with a sold out (in advance!) show in their borough and are now taking the hot fun all along the west coast.  Watch this space for their new video "Lessons Learned" coming soon!  Next month, a big tour with Cut Copy, too!  

We're also really happy to announce that BRASSTRONAUT  will be hitting the States super soon for SXSW and a bunch of other shows just in time for the US release of their amazing 'Old World Lies' EP.   Until then, the Toronto group are huddled up in Banff recording their new full length which will see a Fall release and we're keeping up with Brasstronaut via Edo's awesome journo and you can, too!

As a co-creator and former head writer of The Daily Show, and co-founder of Air America Radio, LIZZ WINSTEAD is easily the best wit in all of political comedy.  Next month, Lizz will bring her SHOOT THE MESSENGER live multi-media sketch comedy show to LA for two nights at Steve Allen Theater on MARCH 17 & 18!   Shoot The Messenger is a media-smart satirical wrap-up of the week's news all written, produced and starring some of the best political comics and writers, including Lizz herself, plus special guests in an every-expanding cast.   As The Comic's Comic says, "If you haven't seen Lizz Winstead's latest creation, then you're missing out."  A must-see!

Sterling Andrews' GOOSEBERRIES project has a release party all lined up for Thursday, April 2nd.  The beautiful Center for the Arts in Eagle Rock is the setting where Sterling's handmade backdrops and prints will be displayed.  Watch this space for announcements of the bands from Gooseberries who will play as well!  Gooseberries will be release April 4 through Eenie Meenie Records.
