Brooklyn six piece LA STRADA release their awesome debut full length 'New Home' today and kick off an East Coast Record Release Tour! The Kyle "Slick" Johnson (Cymbals Eat Guitars, Rogue Wave) produced 'New Home' follows up La Strada's outstanding self-titled EP, injecting their old world/new world sound with the passion, energy and fun of their heralded live shows. Album single "Wash On By" is available for free download and a companion video for the song will be released next week. To celebrate the release of their first full length in five years, Sin Ropas are giving away the first album track "Fever You Fake" for free download while the album is also available for streaming all week at Spinner.com. Former Red Red Meat & Califone members Tim Hurley and Danni Iosello recorded their long-awaited new album, 'Holy Broken,' in their mountaintop log cabin using a myriad of handmade instruments to create what Blurt calls "beautifully broken music" and Pitchfork says is "their most direct and immediate album yet."

After completing a hugely successful tour of Europe earlier this winter, Sin Ropas will be playing through the States in support of Shrug Records release of 'Holy Broken.' More dates tba:

In preparation our good friend Gairo put together this awesome video of a few different events involving the song. The video features a sweet never-heard-before demo version of "Down and Around" played on keys from our studio session at Different Fur with Eric Fredric (Wallpaper.), as well as show footage from Slims in San Francisco where we first played the song live. On April 13, Shrug Records will issue Holy Broken, the first release from Sin Ropas in five years. MATT McCARTHY ANNOUNCES COMEDY ALBUM, RELEASE SHOW, FREE MP3

The very funny MATT McCARTHY announces the release of his debut comedy record ‘COME CLEAN’ which will be out next month on Comix Records with an April 15 show to celebrate the launch. Todd Barry, Jesse Popp, and Carey Prusa will also perform. ‘Come Clean’ was recorded live at Comix last fall and features the insightfully witty McCarthy at his stand-up best. Matt McCarthy is a comedian living and performing in NY who first broke onto the scene four years ago as a finalist in the Emerging Comics Contest at the NY Underground Comedy Festival. He has since gone on to an impressive career as both an outstanding on-stage comedian as well as comedic actor. In addition to his hilarious original comedy which he regularly performs to full houses around the City, Matt is recognizable as the red headed and bearded pitchman in a number of popular television spots. Matt stars as the cable guy who can't catch a break in all the Verizon Fios ads for which he was just recently featured in Entertainment Weekly and last year landed him an ECNY Award! Elsewhere, Matt has appeared on Comedy Central's Live at Gotham and John Oliver's New York Stand Up Show, can currently be seen hosting AMC's Action Pack with comedian Nick Stevens and will be in the upcoming Will Ferrell film “The Other Guys” with Mark Wahlberg. Matt also writes and acts in Front Page Films, creators of some of the funniest viral videos out there, including the brilliant "Hotel" series featured on atom.com and “Batman Vanishing” which boasts over 120k views alone.

REGGIE WATTS ANNOUNCES CD/DVD FOR COMEDY CENTRAL, NEW VIDEO, TOUR WITH CONAN O’BRIEN

REGGIE WATTS is set to release his first full length comedy record ‘Why $#!+ So Crazy?’ as cd/dvd this Spring on Comedy Central Records. LOOSEWORLD and Waverly Films co-produced the album’s debut music video, “F@<% $#!+ Stack,” a Hip-Hop pastiche album single created and performed by Reggie. Next month, you can also catch Reggie’s mindblowing live set while he’s on tour with Conan O’Brien.

As an internationally renowned vocalist/beatboxer/musician/comedian/improvisor, founding member of the band Maktub, Regina Spektor tourmate and album guest, Brian Eno-protege, Andy Kaufman Award winner, ECNY Award winner, Esquire's Best & Brightest featured entertainer, and DFA Records' Spaghetti Circus guest vocalist, REGGIE WATTS is amazing in every little thing he does. The “F@<% $#!+ Stack” video, co-directed by Duncan Skiles and Ben Dickinson, will make its TV debut on Comedy Central’s Why $#!+ So Crazy? special which features Reggie, footage from his tour and original scripted comedy and will air prior to the cd/dvd release. Video co-producer LOOSEWORLD is an arts collective that specializes in film production. Their website LOOSEWORLD.com has recently gained momentum as a platform for emerging artists to promote themselves and their art.
